About Tsunesaburou

The founder, Tsunesaburou Uozumi, began learning the secrets of plane-making from his grandfather, Utarou Kurokawa, at a young age, mastering these skills over 28 years. In 1947, he established the Tsunesaburou Plane Manufacturing Company. While passing on the ancient techniques of plane-making to his successors, he also dedicated himself to researching modern manufacturing methods.
The second generation, Akio Uozumi, continued the journey alongside the establishment of the original Tsunesaburou Plane Manufacturing Company, mastering both traditional and modern methods while devoting himself to the craft of plane-making with unwavering dedication.
Currently, Tsunesaburou Co., Ltd., under the leadership of the third generation, Toru Uozumi, strives to contribute to the rich traditional Japanese housing industry in which planes are commonly used. The company is committed to creating planes that are trusted and loved by everyone, making continuous efforts with a steadfast belief in their craftsmanship.
