Tanaka Kazuyuki Hamono's Kurouchi Knife

The motif is the sparks from the forging process. "Tekka" Gyuto 210.

Kurouchi is the origin of blacksmithing. This is a cut-type knife.
This knife is made of sharp blue steel No. 2 clad in three layers of rust-resistant stainless steel. It is hand-forged and hand-sharpened to create a knife that will stay sharp for a long time. Using our unique technology, the stainless steel is hardened black and hammered into a hammered pattern. The handle is made of durable and water-resistant walnut octagonal handle. It matches the kiritsuke finish blade very well.
Gyuto is best suited for cutting meat. It is tapered, making it easy to perform detailed work. It can be used for all purposes (meat, vegetables, fish) like a Santoku knife. It is double-edged, so it can be used by both left-handed and right-handed people.

The knives made by Makoto are amazing in their sharpness, and even more amazing in how long they last.
In daily cooking, the speed of work and the texture of food change depending on whether the knife is sharp or not. It is recommended as a fun cooking tool because it is used every day. The tip of the iron pot is made of blue steel and will rust, so please wash off any dirt and wipe off the water thoroughly after use.
As with all knives, please be careful not to "scrape" the blade as it may chip.

*Can be resharpened and repaired.
