Tanaka Kazuyuki Hamono's Kurouchi Knife

The motif is forging sparks. "Tekka" Gyuto 180.

Kurouchi is the origin of blacksmithing. This is a "Kirituke"type knife.
This knife is made of sharp blue steel No. 2 clad in three layers of rust-resistant stainless steel. It is hand-forged and hand-sharpened to create a knife that will stay sharp for a long time. Using our unique technology, the stainless steel is hardened black and hammered into a hammered pattern. The handle is made of durable and water-resistant walnut octagonal handle. It matches the kiritsuke-finished blade very well.
Gyuto 180 knives is best suited for cutting meat. It is tapered, making it easy to perform detailed work. It can be used for all purposes (meat, vegetables, fish) like a Santoku knife. It is double-edged, so it can be used by both left-handed and right-handed people.

I was amazed at the sharpness of Makoto's knives, and even more amazed at how long they lasted.
In daily cooking, the speed of work and the texture of food change depending on whether the knife is sharp or not. Since it is something you use every day, we recommend it as a fun cooking tool. The tip of the iron pot is made of blue steel and will rust, so please wash off any dirt and wipe off the water thoroughly after use.
This applies to all knives, but please be careful not to "scrape" the blade as it may chip.

*Can be resharpened and repaired.
