About Ikeuchi Hamono
Ikeuchi Hamono (Ikeuchi Blades) began manufacturing and selling gardening knives in 1953 under the name Ikeuchi Kogatana (Ikeuchi Knives). In 1996, the company was renamed to its current name, Ikeuchi Hamono, and has continued its operations to this day.
By combining traditional and new technologies cultivated over 70 years of making Japanese Kogatana knives, the company produces products recognized by professional craftsmen both in Japan and overseas, pursuing sharpness and durability.
The company offers three brands — Mikihisa, Shozo Saku, and Shuzon Shozo Saku — each created using different materials and manufacturing methods. From the point where they are forged and welded to the point where they are neatly packaged in a decorative box, the creation of the highest-ranking products requires a total of more than 70 manufacturing processes. Just as each person's face is unique, each hand-forged knife is different from the others. In recent years, the knives have been highly praised by woodcraft enthusiasts and campers, both in Japan and overseas.
Ikeuchi Hamono is always focused on customer satisfaction and continues to make products based on traditional Japanese techniques.
