Tanaka Kazuyuki Hamono's Kurouchi Knife

The motif is forging sparks. "Tekka" Santoku.

Kurouchi is the origin of blacksmithing. This is a "Kirituke"type knife.
This knife is made of sharp blue steel No. 2 clad in three layers of rust-resistant stainless steel. It is hand-forged and hand-sharpened to create a knife that will stay sharp for a long time. Using our unique technology, the stainless steel is hardened black and hammered into a hammered pattern. The handle is made of durable and water-resistant walnut octagonal handle. It matches the kiritsuke-finished blade very well.
Santoku knives can be used for all-round purposes, including meat, vegetables, and fish. With just one knife, you can do all your household chores. It is double-edged, so it can be used by both left-handed and right-handed people.

The Santoku knife made by Makoto is amazing in its sharpness, and even more amazing in its longevity.
In daily cooking, the speed of work and the texture of food change depending on whether the knife is sharp or not. It is recommended as a fun cooking tool because it is used every day. The tip of the iron pot is made of blue steel and will rust, so please wash off any dirt and wipe off the water thoroughly after use.
This applies to all knives, but please be careful not to "scrape" the blade as it may chip.

*Can be resharpened and repaired.
