Whetstone for garden shears that can be used on site.

Standard for re-sharpening. Medium whetstone #1000.

A handy whetstone that can be used immediately when you want to sharpen. It can be used immediately on site.
It fits perfectly on the curved, uneven surface of gardening scissors and sharpens them beautifully. The convex side can be used for the R-shaped cutting edge of pruning shear blades. The concave side can be used for sharpening cutting blades (clam-shaped). The flat side can be used for sharpening straight blades, so it can be used for all types of gardening shears (bud shears), sickles, grafting knives, florist knives, harvesting knives, and more.
Medium whetstone #1000 is used when you want to restore the sharpness of gardening shears and knives. (This type is usually used for re-sharpening.) If the blade is chipped, it is better to use a coarse grit whetstone with good cutting ability.

How to sharpen scissors.
Before use, soak the whetstone thoroughly in water.
To sharpen the cutting blade, firmly grasp the handle and hold the whetstone in your dominant hand, then place the concave part of the whetstone perpendicularly against the blade, matching the angle of the blade, and sharpen. It is better to sharpen with the scissors closed and firmly gripped for a cleaner finish.
Sharpen the anvil blade if the edge is chipped or worn down. To sharpen, open the scissors, place the convex part against the anvil, and apply it perpendicularly to the blade. For a complete sharpening, it is best to disassemble the scissors.
If the blade is chipped, first use a coarse whetstone to repair the chip, then a medium whetstone to restore sharpness. If you only want to restore sharpness, use a medium whetstone.
*Caution: Avoid sharpening the back of the cutting blade and anvil blade as much as possible. Scissors are tools that cut by the meshing of the blades. If the blades open up due to sharpening, they may no longer mesh and will not cut at all. We recommend only removing the burr after sharpening the front of the blade. After use, wipe off moisture and dirt, and do not forget to oil the parts where the blades meet and the screw. Dry the whetstone in a well-ventilated, shaded area before storing.
